Starting July 29th, Epic is letting the fans decide if Clayton Carmine will live or die in Gears of War 3. The XBL Marketplace will have two t-shirts for your avatar, saying "Save Carmine" and "Carmine Must Die". Purchasing one for your avatar counts as a vote to save or kill him, respectfully.



Before you go off thinking this is just a quick way for a few extra bucks for Epic, you should note that all profits go to the charity Child's Play. Comic-Con this week will also have the two shirts for sale for yourself, and they will count as votes as well. It's unknown if Epic will reveal his fate sometime after the voting, or if we will have to find out in the plot of Gears of War 3.

I'm not sure. I wish Epic made it an in game choice. Possibly without telling. Like one path you might take over another can result in Clay's death while the other would lead to another character dying.

If they kill off Clay I'm going to be a little pissed. First, they've killed off almost every Carmine. Second, it's overly predictable, if he dies it'll be in act 3 over some stupid mistake. Third, Clay is too hardcore to die.

If I wasn't so damn poor I'd buy a shirt.
